2 cups of sugar
1 ½ cups of shortening
3 eggs
1 cup of sour milk (1 teaspoon of vinegar to cup of milk)
½ teaspoon of soda
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla
7 cups of flour

Cream together the sugar, shortening and eggs. Add milk, mixing well. Sift remaining ingredients together, mixing well. Roll and cut. 350° for 8 minutes.
Once cooled, frost the cookies with creamy frosting.
